A Day of Thanks
Thomas College, Sept 16, 2017 (11-2pm)
Join local First Responders and the Maine State Police, along with their equipment, at the Thomas College Baseball Diamond! Take a lap around the bases to score a homerun with your Team Leader, while meeting Otto's Neighborhood Heroes! Enjoy a hands on experience with all sorts of fun equipment and K-9 demonstrations, all in the name of Literacy. Admission is free- Donations day of the event, in the form of cash or pet items, are encouraged and will be given to the local animal shelter.

Come join over 50 local First Responders, along with their equipment, in the Storybook Forest! Walk the forest path with your Team Leader, meeting all of Otto's Neighborhood Heroes. Get your picture taken in the photo booth! Admission is free!

Otto Von Schnoodle Literacy Celebration
Grace Birch, author of the children’s book series, The Adventures of Otto Von Schnoodle, is currently in Maine for a Book Signing, with the star himself, Otto Von Schnoodle, celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Family Literacy Act!
This event is OPEN TO THE PUBLIC, NO CHARGE!
Please join her and Otto, Thursday, September 15, 5-9 at the Falmouth Country Club, 1 Congressional Drive, Falmouth.
Birch, who has partnered with The Barbara Bush Houston Literacy Foundation, visits schools, libraries and hospitals, reading to children. Their joint goal is to increase awareness of childhood Literacy.
She also runs Otto’s program, “Read With Otto”, Skyping with children, responding to letter requests and becoming their pen pal, all to encourage reading and vocabulary growth.
